Little red!
Finally, Ysolda Teague's new book Little Red in the City has arrived!
We've been waiting on this for ages, and so a very excited Tash rushed the boxes from the post office to the shop mere hours before leaving for London. In such a rush that she didn't even have time to open a box and nab one for herself.
It is worth the patience! There is a comprehensive section on sizing and adjusting patterns to fit you perfectly. One of our favorite things though is the incredible size range covered in each pattern. From the itty bitty teeny tiny girl to the lady with more to love, we're certain you will find a pattern that not only will fit well but be flattering too.
This first shipment of books is available at the excellent price of $40, however once we're out of this batch and a new lot arrives its going to be a wee bit more.
So, head on down to the shop and grab yourself a copy.
Also in the shop this week will be our crazy huge shipment of knit pro and, all going well, more of the beautiful Stansborough Mythral.
Have a great week! Hopefully there will a post or two about knit nation over the next few days - wifi dependent. xx
Musical interlude
Sophie Madeleine is one of our favourite uke-playing songstresses right now. She is busy doing a cover a day for the 30 days leading up to the release of her new album on 25 July. Well worth checking out! This is rocking our socks today...
New Knitty!
*wipes drool from face*
ahem, the new Knitty is out! And lordy, if Stephen West isn't a pretty man. Doesn't he look dashing as cover boy?
Every day people come into the shop and introduce to beautiful new projects, patterns and designers. This edition of Knitty is no exception - there are so many great projects.

Creek Bed, by Stephen, is a delight. It would look wonderful in Knitsch Sock, in a range of pinks and purples, or our new delicious shades of brown.
Darrin is also gorgeous, and in what sounds to be the most beautiful yarn. It's a sport weight, and would look pretty amazing in Fyberspates...

What is your favourite project from the latest issue of Knitty? We're happy to print off free patterns in the shop any time - just ask!
Happy solstice!
Being the official longest shortest day of the year, we're celebrating by putting on our warmest woollies and snuggling up with a glass of red, a good movie and some knitting.
Tash is getting excited about heading off for Knit Nation in a few weeks - and the chance to meet a whole lot of incredible designers and play with yarn for 3 days straight!
We're also plotting some really exciting window displays - so if you are local, make sure you keep an eye out. Or, better yet, pop in and say hi. We've got new stuff arriving all the time, with some wonderful new patterns on the way from the States, our biggest ever order from Knit Pro about to be dispatched and an exciting new yarn brand that is top class.
Our yarn bombing adventure on the streets of Petone last weekend got a wee bit of attention...
