Tash is heading away to Brisbane Sunday/Monday/Tuesday and so Holland Road Yarn Co is going to be closed on Tuesday 17 May. Jem can't work Tuesdays so sadly we won't be open.
The lovely Matt will be here on Sunday to look after you and our drop spindle class, and Jem will be here as normal on Monday. Tash will be back on time to take the Absolute Beginners workshop that night.

New this week
We're going to make this a weekly post - not always on a Monday, but once we've got enough interesting things arrive each week.
This second week of May we have in our hot little hands:
Lace weight Fyberspates
We only have Cherry and Gold at the moment, but will absolutely be ordering more of this beauty in. Perfect for a Wispy shawl (I've got one queued and yarn tucked away already!)
Lots of new books:
Knits Men Want, more copies of Sock Yarn One Skein Wonders, Mary Thomas' Book of Knitting Patterns, Knitting Vintage Socks by Nancy Bush (my fave!) and plenty of others to get you inspired.
And finally, lots more Cascade arrived! We have a pretty awesome rainbow of it on the shelves right now, although we're adding to it all the time. Next on our list to order is delicious Alpaca Lace and Alpaca/wool worsted - can't wait!
We are running a little low on Knit Pro - namely cables (again) and 4 & 4.5mm tips. An order has been placed and should arrive in 2 weeks. Let us know if you are desperate for anything and we will make sure you have first dibs.

Oh, how we love Fyberspates!
This week we've got more in stock, including the absolutely delicious lace weight in Cherry and Gold. I've already snagged a skein of Cherry to make a Wispy cardigan - we have the pattern in store, and another customer is making hers with the gorgy gold.

Open everyday!
Now that the wintery weather is making itself known, we're going to be open every day!
Hooray!
We'll be here cosy and warm and ready to help with your knitting needs from 10 - 6 Monday to Friday, 10 - 4 Saturday and 11 - 3 Sunday.
Don't forget we also have spinning sessions starting up, hosted by the lovely Matt of Wabi Sabi Fibres, every Sunday from 2 - 4.30. Come along, enjoy cake and tea and the whirring of wheels. (byo wheel)

Last week it was very very exciting to have confirmation of a new pattern range - that of Falling Stitches, a blog that I absolutely adore.
